Do you excel at customer service? If so, you could be just who we, at Waylands Automotive, are looking for! We’re currently looking for a Service Advisor to join the team at our Volvo dealership in Newbury. This role serves as the liaison between customers and service technicians, acting as the face of the business when customers come in for service and repair.
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting customers, listening to requests, scheduling appointments, estimating costs, conducting inspections, and coordinating with technicians to convey accurate repair descriptions and timelines.
- Communicating with customers regarding their vehicle needs.
- Maintaining positive relationships with customers to ensure repeat business.
- Using online bookings, phone calls, and in-person interactions to schedule and book appointments, vehicle drop-offs, and pick-ups with customers, using our in-hours and manufacturer systems and processes.
- Keeping customers updated about the status of their vehicle through the workshop.
- Liaising with technician colleagues about vehicle statuses and ensuring vehicles are ready for customer on time.
About You:
- You’ll be an active listener and excellent communicator.

- You’ll be comfortable working to deadlines.
- You’ll have a full UK driving licence.
- If you have Service Advisor experience, that’s great, but we are happy to train anyone with some experience in customer service.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- 8:00am-6:00pm Monday to Friday, Saturday 8:00am-1:00pm on a rota basis.
- Basic salary of £30,000 plus department bonus scheme.
- 31 days holiday per year (including Bank Holidays, some of which you will be required to cover).
