What's the Role?
We are looking for a Sales Manager to join Waylands to lead our sales team at our Volvo dealership in Havant. This role requires you to use your sales management experience to lead the team in providing a high-quality service for our customers. Reporting to the General Manager, this role offers the chance to join a leading automotive retail group with an excellent reputation.
What does a typical day involve?
- Managing the team of Sales Executives and the Transaction Manager.
- Leading and motivating the team to meet sales targets for new and used vehicles, finance and insurance products.
- Liaising with customers face-to-face and by phone/email.
- Marketing vehicles and services on offer in the dealership and online, liaising with the marketing and digital sales teams to ensure accuracy and seamlessness.
- Maintaining consistently high customer satisfaction index scores.
- Handling any customer complaints efficiently and effectively.
- Maintaining and tracking KPIs.
- Ensuring all sales are FCA compliant in conjunction with the Transaction Manager.
- Second-facing when required to close deals.
- Underwriting part exchanges.
- Preparing stock to company standards.
- Maintaining showroom and forecourt presentation to the highest standard.
Qualifications
Our preferred candidate will have previous experience as a sales leader within the automotive industry.

- Ability to manage and continually develop a sales team.
- Skill in building and maintaining customer relationships.
