We are looking for a customer focused Weekend Receptionist/Welcome Host to join our Volvo dealership in Reading. This role is more than meeting and greeting or answering the telephone. You are often our customer’s first impression of Waylands, and as such we’re looking for someone who takes pride in delivering a first‑class customer experience. Our preferred candidate will bring personality, warmth and efficiency to the role.

Duties:

  • Meeting, greeting and registering customers and visitors to the dealership, including offering refreshments.
  • Answering the phone and transferring calls accordingly.
  • Post and courier management.
  • Ensuring the housekeeping and cleanliness of the showroom and waiting areas is excellent, reporting any issues to a manager.

About you:

  • You should be well presented.

  • You must have excellent communication skills and a professional manner.
  • You should be comfortable using Microsoft Office and related software packages.
  • Preferably have enough flexibility to cover holiday and sickness with other showroom hosts.

Salary, Hours and Benefits:

  • Salary: £8,591.96 per annum (approximately £12.71 per hour).
  • Hours: Saturdays & Sundays, 13 hours per week.
  • Pro‑rata holiday: 31 days per year (including Bank Holidays).
