If so, you could be just who Waylands is looking for to join our well-established Volvo showroom in Havant. Waylands is a successful and growing motor retail group, with 15 representation points across the Thames Valley and the M4 corridor, extending into South Wales.
What’s the Role?
We are looking for a Sales Manager to join Waylands to lead our sales team at our Volvo dealership in Havant. This role will see you use your sales management experience to lead the team in providing a high-quality service for our customers. Reporting to the General Manager, this role offers the chance to join a leading automotive retail group with an excellent reputation.
What does a typical day involve?
- Managing the team of Sales Executives and the Transaction Manager.
- Leading and motivating the team to meet sales targets on new and used vehicles and finance and insurance products.
- Liaising with customers, both face-to-face and by phone/email.
- Working to market vehicles and services on offer in the dealership and online, liaising with the marketing and digital sales teams to ensure this is accurate and seamless.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction index scores are consistently high.
- Handling any customer complaints in an efficient and effective way.
- Maintaining and tracking KPI’s.
- Ensuring all sales completed are FCA compliant in conjunction with the Transaction Manager.
- 2nd facing when required to close deal.
- Ensuring stock is prepared to company standards.
- Ensuring showroom and forecourt presentation is always to a high standard.
Who Are We Looking For?
Our preferred candidate will have previous experience as a sales leader within the automotive industry. In addition to your experience, you will demonstrate the following:
- Excellent relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to meet their targets.
- A calm and professional manner.
- Ability to manage and continually develop a sales team.
- A skill in building and maintaining customer relationships.
- A desire to maximise sales opportunities.
- Excellent, clear communication with line managers, colleagues and customers.
- Excellent product knowledge.
What Do You Get In Return?
- 5-day week on a set rota that includes weekends (45 hours per week).
- Salary of £50k with an OTE of £70k.
