Wayland Additive is an ambitious West Yorkshire based technology company making industrial metal 3D printers. Over the past 6 years, the company has developed and launched its first product, Calibur3, with initial sales in North America and Europe. The company is now looking to grow sales and increase its customer base to capitalise on strong interest in the product. Wayland has a detailed roadmap of technology and product development extending into the future and aggressive growth plans. Creating a new manufacturing company ‘from the ground up’ requires tenacity and an eagerness to learn.
Objectives
- Achieve sales in the US market – particularly to industrial customers with opportunity for repeat sales.
- Build pipeline to grow sales further in 2025+
- Develop, execute, and oversee a business strategy that prioritises growth and positive customer experience.
- Maintain positive professional relationships with clients.
- Implement financial strategies to improve sales revenue.
- Monitor sales performance and progress to align with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Progress existing opportunities by championing your customers within Wayland and responding to their needs.
- Maintain and build relationships with customers through regular contact and visits.
- Effectively communicate customer needs to internal Product / R&D team through presentations and meeting reports.
- Effective networking to access decision makers and new leads.
- Conduct high-level industry research to develop effective sales solutions.
- Review sales contracts to ensure they meet legal and corporate guidelines.
Skills / Experience
- Recent experience in start-up and scale-up businesses desirable.
- High level of inter-personal skills to build and facilitate strong working relationships at all levels across the business.
- High levels of personal confidence with the ability to influence stakeholders within and outside the business.
- Proven ability to work calmly under pressure and to deliver to timeframes.
