Culture & Values at Wayflyer
At Wayflyer, we value being sound people, excellent operators, and ambitious overachievers, working together with integrity, creativity, and bold optimism to deliver exceptional results.

Your Role at a Glance:
The key ways you'll bring value to the team:

  • Own the full-cycle recruitment process for a diverse range of critical roles, balancing technical requirements (Engineering, IT, Product) with niche business functions (Credit Risk, Underwriting, Finance).
  • Partner closely with Technical and Functional leaders to deeply understand complex hiring needs, translating technical jargon and regulatory requirements into compelling job descriptions and sourcing strategies.
  • Manage end-to-end hiring across varied verticals, moving seamlessly between screening a Backend Engineer in the morning to interviewing a Senior Underwriter in the afternoon.
  • Build and execute proactive sourcing strategies to identify and engage hard-to-find, passive talent in competitive markets, moving beyond standard job boards to unearth specialized skill sets.
  • Leverage data and market intelligence to provide stakeholders with realistic insights on talent availability, salary benchmarking, and time-to-hire for specialised roles.
  • Champion a best-in-class candidate experience, ensuring high-touch communication and structured feedback loops, regardless of the role complexity.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to hiring managers, challenging assumptions where necessary and helping teams calibrate on the “must-haves” vs. “nice-to-haves” for difficult-to-fill positions.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • 2-4 years of proven experience in full-cycle recruiting, ideally with exposure to both Technical (Engineering, Data, IT) and General & Administrative (Finance, Risk, Legal) functions.
  • Versatility is your superpower. You are comfortable recruiting for roles that require specific technical stacks one day and complex financial accreditations the next.
  • Strong sourcing capabilities. You know how to find talent that isn't applying to ads, utilising Boolean searches, X-Ray sourcing, GitHub, LinkedIn Recruiter, and niche communities.
  • Ability to grasp complex requirements quickly. You can rapidly upskill yourself on new technologies or business concepts to effectively screen candidates for competence.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills. You can build trust with Senior Engineers and Finance Directors alike, guiding them through the hiring process with confidence.
  • Agility and adaptability. You thrive in an environment where priorities shift, and you can juggle multiple requisitions with vastly different profiles simultaneously without dropping the ball.
  • Data-driven mindset. You track your funnel metrics to understand where bottlenecks exist and use that data to refine your search strategy.
  • A collaborative spirit. You are ready to share knowledge on niche markets with the wider talent team and jump in to support different business areas as needs evolve.

How You’ll Stand Out:

  • Fintech Fluency: You have prior experience in the Fintech space, giving you a head start in understanding the unique intersection of financial regulation (Risk, Underwriting) and rapid technical innovation.
  • High-Growth DNA: You bring experience from a fast-paced tech company, meaning you are comfortable navigating ambiguity, managing tight deadlines, and pivoting quickly as business needs change.
  • Tech-Stack Ready: You are comfortable leveraging AI tools to work smarter and have hands-on experience with Ashby and Slack, ensuring a smooth ramp-up period from day one.
  • Curiosity & Adaptability: You genuinely enjoy learning the “nuts and bolts” of complex roles and can effortlessly switch gears between technical and non-technical conversations.

What to Expect After You Apply:
You can expect to hear from a member of our Talent Acquisition team soon. If we believe you're a good fit, the first step will be a conversation with a recruiter who will guide you through the next stages of the process. The full interview process, which includes meeting the Hiring Manager and completing a case study or interview loop, typically takes approximately four to six weeks.
