Responsibilities:
- Support the smooth running of our facility, contributing to cost-saving initiatives.
- Complete routine and emergency repairs to equipment, fixtures, fittings and building systems.
- Support the Maintenance Engineering Team with complex issues, enabling further development and gathering additional skills through ‘Real Time’ learning & feedback.
What You’ll Do:
- Carry out a wide range of general maintenance tasks and minor repairs across the facility.
- Adhere strictly to Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules, conducting regular inspections.
- Provide hands-on assistance to Maintenance Engineers during complex repairs.
- Act as a point of contact for external contractors, overseeing specific maintenance assignments.
- Maintain an organized and accurate inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure a safe working environment by conducting Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) and other essential safety checks.
- Actively support internal facility projects and cost-saving initiatives.
What You'll Have:
- A background in general maintenance, facilities, electrical, plumbing systems, and contractor management.
- An inquisitive mindset with the ability to diagnose faults and implement practical solutions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to drive routine tasks independently while supporting the engineering team.
- Being organised and effectively prioritising urgent emergency repairs alongside planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
- Proficiency in navigating modern IT systems and CMMS applications.
