As an L1 Category Associate within the newly established Wayfair Global Selling (WGS) Turkey category management team, you will play a foundational role in driving entrepreneurial growth and scaling our cross‑border e‑commerce operations from Turkey into the US and UK. In this highly dynamic position, you will own the end‑to‑end commercial relationship with a portfolio of Turkish suppliers, leveraging data‑driven insights to optimize their assortment, pricing, and availability while navigating supply chain complexities. You should be a highly motivated self‑starter with strong analytical capabilities, exceptional communication skills in both Turkish and English, and a collaborative mindset eager to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze data and trends to improve the quality of our product catalog to increase customer satisfaction and site conversion rates; research categories and vendors to build out selection.
- Create cross‑functional partnerships to advance your category and suppliers through merchandising, promotions, marketing, on‑trend product selection, effective pricing and profitability, and operational excellence.
- Develop and enforce best practice guidelines to enrich product assortment, optimizing processes to enable high quality & efficiency while guaranteeing an easily digestible experience for suppliers & internal stakeholders.
- Build key supplier relationships to enable successful negotiations and push toward a best‑in‑class customer experience.
- Leverage data to analyze the competitive environment, report on performance trends, and develop business cases for strategic initiatives.
- Represent Wayfair at various off‑site events such as trade shows.
- Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders.
What You’ll Need
Basic Qualifications
- Must be fluent in Turkish and English.
- 0‑3 years of transferable experience in a corporate environment, including internship and co‑op experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- A strong interest in emerging technology and the ability to integrate generative AI tools (e.g., Gemini) into daily tasks to drive efficiencies.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, SQL or GBQ, and data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio (Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI).
