Responsibilities include providing high standards of care and early learning, which involves monitoring and reviewing provision. This includes providing a safe, caring environment to enable the personal, emotional, social, and educational development of children through individual attention and group activities.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure all children are safeguarded and their welfare and safety is promoted in line with our Safeguarding policy.
- Implement the daily routine in the 2 - 3 year old room.
- Work under the direction of the Manager/Room leader to provide an enabling environment for all individual children to play, learn, and develop.
- Promote the aims and objectives of the Pre-school.
- Maintain high standards at all times to parents, staff, and visitors.
- Assist with the development and implementation of systems to monitor and record child development.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of materials and equipment.
- Be responsible for health and safety standards appropriate for the needs of young children and ensure staff compliance and awareness.
- Be flexible within working practices of the setting and be prepared to help where needed, including undertaking certain domestic jobs within the setting, such as preparation of snack meals and cleansing of equipment.
- Plan as part of a team, supporting and leading activities with the children.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are carried out at all times.
- Lead meetings with Parents and Carers of your Key children to share progress and set next steps.
