The Business Services Assistant Co-ordinator provides day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Business Services Co-ordinator and wider Business Services team. The role is focused on ensuring the efficient running of business support activities through effective administration, record keeping, meeting coordination, procurement support, and customer service.
Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records and documentation, managing correspondence and enquiries, organising meetings and taking notes, updating trackers and management systems, arranging travel and accommodation, and supporting procurement, supplier, and contract administration processes. The postholder also assists with monitoring actions and deadlines, preparing reports and communications, and contributing to continuous service improvement initiatives.
Working within established procedures and guidelines, the role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively. The postholder interacts with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, providing a professional, customer-focused service and escalating more complex issues when required.
The position has no budget or line management responsibilities and is primarily an operational support role. Success in the role depends on excellent administration, communication, record management, customer service, and teamwork skills, alongside a commitment to organisational values, equality, diversity and inclusion, health and safety, and continuous professional development.
