Location: Brewers Hill Road, Dunstable, Central Bedfordshire, LU6 1AD, Central Bedfordshire Council

Hours Per Week: 36.00

Pay: £15.57 per hour

Initially full time in the office, once appropriate 2 days in the office and 3 days remote. Whilst this role is hybrid, successful applicants will be required to be based in our office in Dunstable for a minimum of two days a week. Working hours are 08:30-17:00 Monday-Thursday and 08:30-16:30 on Friday.

The Maintenance Coordinator is an interesting, varied and customer-focused role, which allows the post holder to interact with all areas of the Housing Service, their customers and the wider Council. You’ll be working with the team and will provide exemplary service to our customers.

Duties also include:

  • Responsible for the diagnosis of repairs in council owned dwellings that have been raised through residents and internal and external stakeholders via various platforms.
  • Effective scheduling of repairs orders to trades diaries ensuring service delivery is maximised and utilise opportunity for increased trade productivity.
  • Responsible for case handling residents’ repairs in council owned dwellings. Ensuring effective diagnosis and scheduling of repairs through to job completion adhering to council processes and policies.
  • Ensure open orders are monitored and closed when jobs are completed, effective ‘housekeeping’ of the open work order e.g. reviewing potential duplicate orders and closing where necessary.
  • Provide excellent customer service ensuring residents are kept informed of progress.
