Swale are working to an ambitious timetable in order to submit their Local Plan this December and need an experienced Policy Planner to lead on drafting site allocation policies for the chosen housing and employment sites for their upcoming Reg 19 Local Plan.
Responsibilities
- Lead drafting of site allocation policies for the chosen housing and employment sites.
- Assist with reviewing Strategic Policies for the Local Plan and other necessary documents for the Reg 19 consultation.
- Take the Local Plan through Regulation 19 and an examination.
- Collaborate with officers across Place Services and other Council departments to ensure policies are fit for purpose.
Requirements
- Experience drafting allocation policies and examples will be requested.
- Experience taking a Local Plan through Regulation 19 and examination.
- Good teamwork skills.
- Full driving licence (required for site visits).
Working Conditions
2 days in the offices at Swale House and 2.5 days remotely; an office day per week may be considered for the right candidate.
