Overview

The HROD Service delivers a comprehensive and customer‑centric professional service across the council in accordance with employment legislation, guidance, policies and best practice. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain experience and develop a career in HR while contributing to our professional HR consultancy service.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact, triaging HR enquiries from employees and managers and supporting the HROD function.
  • Coordinate all grading requests and maintain accurate records for the job evaluation of roles.
  • Coordinate and promote financial wellbeing schemes, including salary sacrifice offers to employees.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Preferably have attained or are studying towards a relevant HR/CIPD qualification.
  • Recent experience providing HR support is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the key issues facing local government and national and local conditions of service is an added bonus.

Working Arrangements

This is a flexible worker post, with the employee working both remotely and in the workplace.
