We are looking for an experienced Senior Practitioner to help us on our improvement journey. Responsibilities

  • Work within the Children with Disabilities team to provide support to team members, taking specific supervisory responsibility for staff employed as Social Workers, alongside other staff within the Directorate and partner agencies.
  • Complete assessment work across the child’s journey, including short break assessments, child protection and court work, ensuring consistency in social workers and fostering a relationship‑based model of practice.
  • Manage a complex caseload.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in statutory social care.
  • Strong skills in assessment, report writing, and managing complex caseloads.
