We make clothing in Manchester. Designed, cut, sewn, and shipped from our own factory in the city. We are 28 people, growing fast, and we take how we run the business as seriously as what we make.

Here’s where we are with finance: it works, but it’s sitting too heavily on one person. Payment runs, payroll, bookkeeping, cash flow, VAT — all of it. We need someone to take ownership of that function properly, so the business can scale without the wheels coming off.

What you’d own:

  • The day‑to‑day operational finance function.
  • Payment runs and accounts payable.
  • Invoicing and receivables.
  • Bank reconciliation and bookkeeping.
  • A 13‑week rolling cash flow forecast.
  • Monthly payroll for ~28 staff.
  • Pension contributions.
  • VAT returns.
  • Staff contracts.
  • Supporting on budgeting, R&D claims, grant applications, and year‑end with our part‑time Finance Director.

Real autonomy. Direct line to the Managing Director. A finance function that’s yours to build and improve.

What we need:

You don’t need to be qualified — but you need to be organised, numerate, and the kind of person who notices when something’s off and sorts it out. Xero experience is a bonus. We’ll fund your professional qualifications (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) if you’re working towards them.

What you’ll get:

  • £25,000–£28,000 depending on experience.
  • Profit share (10% of operating profit across the whole team).
  • Quarterly bonuses.
  • Enhanced pension with salary sacrifice.
  • Paid therapy sessions.
  • An extra holiday day every year you’re with us.
  • Staff discount.
  • A salary framework that grows with your competency, not just the calendar.

Deadline: Monday 9th March 2026. Full job description and application form at https://wawwaclothing.com/pages/careers — please attach a CV and cover letter. If this sounds like you, or like someone you know, we’d love to hear from you.
