We are currently looking for a Moulding Assistant (Quality) to join us at Doncaster.
The role:
- To embrace and participate in the strong health and safety culture.
- To ensure that all raw materials and equipment are stored and used in line with existing internal procedures.
- To move material as necessary and follow booking out procedures.
- To work closely with the Setter and Moulding Assistant to ensure that all fittings are produced to the correct quality and quantity within schedule adherence.
- To work with the team to effectively plan all work activities for the shift and oncoming shifts.
- To carry out routine and non-routine quality checks as appropriate to ensure that all fittings are within quality standards.
- Ensure that any non-conforming product is quarantined or scrapped as appropriate and ensure that records are maintained.
- Adopt and utilise Continuous Improvement methods and techniques to ensure that the fittings and workplace is made safer and more efficient.
- Ensure correct declarations are applied via Barco on the machines when they are stood.
- Be competent in safely shutting down a moulding machine.
The profile:
- Knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Quality systems and procedures.
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools and techniques.
- Experience of working with others to solve problems.
- Experience of supporting Continuous Improvement and the development of systems and procedures.
- Good communicator both verbally and in writing with an ability to effectively communicate changes and/or improvements to the team.
- Experience of working alone and within a team.
- Must be able to demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude with flexibility towards working hours and shift work.
- Must be self-motivated and self-starting.
