We are currently looking for a HSE Co‑Ordinator to join us at Chippenham. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose‑led company, please read on.
The role
- To support & maintain the Company’s health, safety and environmental policies
- To monitor, evaluate and review health, safety and environmental policy and practice, making recommendations for improvement wherever possible
- To assist in the identification of training needs for employees and to subsequently develop and deliver training as required
- To assist in the coordination of new starter induction programmes
- To support HSE audit process and evaluate the effectiveness of all systems and procedures in order to identify and implement improvements
- To support accident investigations where appropriate, assist others in investigating the circumstances and causes of accidents and to take necessary steps to prevent a recurrence
- To support risk assessment programmes
- To support monthly HSE reporting and analysis of statistics
- To compile HSE review presentations and contribute to the Worksafe communications
- To support and coordinate workplace inspections HSE audits
- To administer the HSE software platforms – ODISEO, ENHESA, SYPOL
- To undertake any other reasonable request in line with the demands of the role, within existing capability levels
The profile
- Minimum GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
- Continuous Improvement knowledge and training (green belt level)
- A passion for the Health Safety & Environmental function
- A strong, confident and credible communicator who is not afraid to constructively challenge.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- Sound team working and networking skills with the ability to work independently using own initiative.
- The ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload.
- Appreciation of current health, safety and environmental legislation and its application in a manufacturing environment.
- Operate effectively under pressure.
- Sound experience of PC skills including all programs in the Microsoft suite.
- Willingness to travel to other WUK sites. This may include overnight stays.
- Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of current Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and its application in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage
