Main purpose: To support our growth ambitions, we are looking for a senior leader who will be responsible for executing the growth strategy and leading the profitable upstream sales growth of the ICS business unit in the UK and Ireland. You will lead a multidisciplinary commercial team and you will be responsible for creating the right environment to achieve the sales objectives.
Complexity of the job:
- Strategic Execution: Translate global product strategy into local plans across diverse UK/IE markets; drive entry into new markets.
- Leadership: Lead and develop a multidisciplinary, culturally diverse commercial team; achieve regional sales goals.
- Technical Expertise: Oversee product launches and development in heating, heat networks, and ventilation; ensure alignment with market needs.
- Sales Focus: Drive profitable sales; requires 10+ years in solution selling and 8+ years in sales leadership.
- Innovation & Change: Promote new concepts and tools; manage change in a fast-evolving business environment.
- Cross-Cultural Communication: Fluent in English required; engage with local and global stakeholders.

Main responsibilities:
- Grow Wavin ICS profitability in the UK and Ireland.
- Execute and customize the global product strategy into local action plans and projects.
- Ensure that the market needs and opportunities are identified and met.
- Coordinate product launches, identify and meet product development needs, specifications and requirements.
- Lead the local business development team.
- Secure that appropriate commercial tools are implemented.
- Actively support the development of new concepts, sales tools and the like.
Our requirements:
- Bachelor or master’s in economics or engineering or related fields.
- 10+ years of experience in technical solution selling in a corporate sales environment – current active selling experience is a must.
- 8+ years of experience in sales leadership.
- Proven entrepreneurial management skills in an innovative commercial environment, preferably in the fields of renewable energy or HVAC.
- Knowledge of the UK/IE climate solutions market opportunities and challenges.
- A team player, motivator and excellent communicator across many countries and cultures.
- Strategic approach and the ability to challenge the status quo.
- Experience in change management.
