Wavin, part of Orbia’s Building & Infrastructure (B&I) business group, is looking for a technically strong, forward-thinking Electrical Engineer who thrives on ownership, problem-solving, and delivering projects that make a real impact. You’ll be someone who can confidently operate across multiple sites, influence stakeholders, and turn complex challenges into practical, high-quality solutions.

About the role

  • Provide electrical engineering expertise across all UK & Ireland sites, ensuring compliance, reliability, and continuous improvement of infrastructure.
  • Act as the single point of contact for High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems, while also leading projects focused on automation, efficiency, and energy reduction.
  • Ensure full electrical compliance across all UK & Ireland sites.
  • Act as the technical lead for HV and LV infrastructure, including maintenance and support.
  • Lead electrical, automation, and sustainability projects to improve safety and efficiency.
  • Support site infrastructure development and long-term asset plans.
  • Monitor and analyse energy consumption, identifying opportunities for reduction.
  • Champion energy-saving initiatives through technology, process, and behavioural change.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting and technical support across multiple sites.
  • Manage supplier and maintenance contracts to ensure cost efficiency and performance.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, and Leadership teams.

About you

  • Apprentice-trained in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
  • Current BS7671 wiring regulations certification.
  • Electrical Duty Holder training.
  • HV Authorised Person (desirable).
  • Strong experience in electrical engineering within manufacturing environments.
  • Proven track record in project management across multiple sites.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical compliance, including Electricity at Work Regulations.
  • Experience managing HV and LV systems as a technical authority.
  • High level of IT literacy (Microsoft Office essential; AutoCAD / MS Project desirable).
