This role is client‑facing and strategic: you will bridge cutting‑edge AI capabilities with business value, crafting vision and roadmaps and leading cross‑functional teams to deliver production‑ready AI products. As the AI Product Owner, you will own end‑to‑end outcomes, from ideation with senior client stakeholders (CTO/C‑suite) through pilot and scalable deployment, ensuring robust governance, user‑centric design, and measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Drive ideation workshops, backlog prioritisation, sprint planning, and iterative development using tools like Jira/Azure DevOps. Ensure disciplined agile delivery and adapt processes to incorporate AI‑assisted development (pair programming with tools like Claude Code) for rapid, high‑quality output.
  • Continuous improvement of SDLC for the AI Engineers: Oversee integration of modern AI SDLC best practices into the product development process. Guide the team on a controlled/secure way to utilising appropriate LLMs, agent frameworks, plugins/skills, and data pipelines. Emphasise robust grounding of AI with enterprise knowledge and context to mitigate hallucinations. Manage AI FinOps and observability; monitoring model performance, usage, and costs to optimise efficiency and scalability.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management: Act as the conduit between technical teams and business leadership. Communicate complex AI concepts and progress in clear, compelling business terms. Coordinate with leadership and various stakeholder groups to ensure alignment and buy‑in. Drive AI adoption and change‑management efforts, including user communications, training and AI hackathons related to the AI product you manage.
  • AI Governance, Risk & Compliance: Champion AI governance, security, and compliance throughout the product lifecycle across the appropriate forums. Proactively identify and mitigate risks, from regulatory and ethical considerations to data privacy and operational resilience. Implement strong model monitoring, validation, and quality controls to uphold trust and compliance standards. Ensure the product is delivering on KPIs (user adoption, satisfaction, revenue/cost impact) and continuously optimise post‑launch.
