We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and child-centred Children’s Occupational Therapist to join a growing private practice delivering high-quality occupational therapy services across Devon and Cornwall. This role is suitable for an OT who is confident working independently, enjoys variety, and is passionate about supporting children with developmental and neurodevelopmental needs.
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
- Experience working with children with developmental needs and/or neurodivergence
- Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check
- Reliable, professional, and flexible
- Approachable, engaging, and able to build strong relationships with children and families
Desirable Experience
- Sensory Integration training
- Experience working with children with Autism and/or ADHD
- Experience contributing to EHCPs
- Handwriting assessment and intervention experience
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out occupational therapy assessments in home, school, and community settings
- Writing clear, professional assessment reports, goals, progress notes, and recommendations
- Contributing to and writing EHCP advice
- Developing and delivering individualized therapy programmes
- Providing intervention for Fine motor skills
- Gross motor skills
- Coordination and motor planning
- Handwriting assessment and support
- Sensory integration therapy (where qualified)
- Liaising with families, schools, and other professionals
