The Worship Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping the worshipping life of Waverley Abbey. This is far more than a worship-leading role; it is an opportunity to help build a thriving House of Prayer, cultivate a culture where worship and prayer are woven into the daily rhythms of Abbey life, and serve the wider Church through creativity, discipleship and worship.We are looking for a gifted worship leader, visionary and developer of people who is passionate about creating spaces where people encounter God, building vibrant worshipping communities, and raising the next generation of worship leaders, musicians, singers and creatives.Working alongside the House of Prayer Impact Lead and the Head of Waverley Abbey Community, the Worship Lead will help cultivate a community where worship and prayer are woven into the daily rhythms of Abbey life. Through daily worship, leadership development, creative initiatives and collaborative ministry, they will help build a worshipping community where people encounter God, discover their calling and are equipped to serve His Kingdom.This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of worship at Waverley Abbey, investing in people, supporting creative ministry and contributing to emerging initiatives in partnership with 24-7 Prayer that will serve the wider Church.Above all, we are seeking someone whose private life with God overflows into public ministry; someone who leads from intimacy with Jesus, models servant-hearted leadership and longs to see lives transformed through worship and prayer.
