Job Title: Nursery Educator / Nursery Practitioner - Level 2 / Level 3

Location: Finchampstead, Wokingham, RG40 4YD

Salary: 25,700 - 29,375 per annum

Job Type: Permanent, Full time, Part Time

Working Hours: The ideal candidate will be available to work 35-40 hours per week, for 51 weeks of the year, but opportunities for working fewer, long days would be considered.

Waverley Day Nursery is currently recruiting NVQ Level 2/3 qualified educators to be part of our dynamic team and to work in our inspiring, child led, family oriented setting.

Our Nursery is based within Waverley Preparatory School, surrounded by woodland and open spaces. We boast individual nursery gardens, a forest school and offer daily woodland walks for the children, encouraging their enquiring minds to develop.

Key Responsibilities:

This is a diverse role with duties including:

  • Being responsible for a key group of children
  • Aiding child-led development
  • Assisting our forest school outings
  • Communicating with parents
  • Supporting activities within the facilities of the school

About you:

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • A NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Educator Qualification
  • A passion for child development and a good working knowledge of the EYFS 0-5 years
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • A sense of humour, common sense and a 'can do' attitude!
  • Masses of drive, ambition and energy!
  • A determined, persistent and resilient person, who approaches and overcomes challenges with a positive attitude.
