You will be responsible for maintaining the Council’s LLPG address database to ensure that corporate address data is accurate, up to date and compliant with all standards. This includes adding new property records, updating existing records, accurate reporting and maintaining cross references to other data sources.

Address data is central to many Council processes, and you will champion the LLPG as the single source of address data and its use to support business processes and promote integration with other Council systems. As the Council’s co-nominated Authority Address Custodian, you will have responsibility for ensuring that the Council meets all obligations of their Data Co-operation Agreement.

In addition to Custodian tasks, you will carry out Street Naming and Numbering activities. The role will require you to work with internal and external stakeholders, undertaking address matching and cleansing to ensure that all data accuracy standards defined by GeoPlace are fully achieved.

The ability to work logically and with attention to detail to produce highly accurate and consistent results is important to achieving this. This is a key role; the accuracy of the work you will do and making sure up to date information is recorded can impact on all services of the Council as well as government, delivery services, developers, businesses and our emergency services. Delivering excellence is therefore critical; you must have attention to detail, high accuracy (and checking skills), and have an ability to interrogate data and information to make an informed decision.

This role is a great opportunity to work in a specialist, successful team and would suit a positively minded, energetic and customer focused individual. You can really make a difference to how we work and how we interact with our customers.

For an informal discussion about the posts, please contact Jane Clement (Business Manager) on 01483 523498 or Lindsay Goodman, Business Support Team Leader on 01483 523248.

We do not accept CV’s without a completed application form. Strictly no agencies please. Closing date for applications: 9am on the 23rd March 2026.

In return for your valued contribution, we can offer you a competitive benefits package which includes hybrid working and agile working policies, training and development opportunities, generous annual leave and flexi time, free onsite parking, an employee assistance scheme and membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.

The district is home to many different people, and we want our workforce to reflect our diverse local communities. We encourage and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences - we are a Disability Confident employer and appoint on merit.

We are proud to have signed the Armed Forces Covenant and welcome applications from serving or ex-members of the armed forces and their partners. We offer an interview scheme for serving and ex-military forces members when they meet the essential criteria for the role.

Please note we do not accept applications after the stated closing time and right to work in the UK will be checked as part of the interview process.
