A busy, growing and modern accountancy practice in Milton Keynes and a leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants partnering with owner‑managed businesses, entrepreneurs and private clients. The client base includes sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, assisting with audit, accounting and taxation.

Who we are looking for

• ACA or ACCA qualified with current experience managing a diverse range of audit clients.
• Technically strong and abreast of current standards and legislation.
• Experience in managing, mentoring and developing junior staff requiring excellent people‑management skills.
• A strong communicator dealing with clients and colleagues at all levels.
• An interest in developing the business and the team.
• Experienced in networking and building client relationships.
• A commercial approach to dealing with and advising.

• Managing a portfolio of 150+ medium and small limited companies, building and maintaining strong relationships with senior clients, advising on accounting and tax, resolving issues and conducting client meetings.
• Involved with business development.
• Managing a team of qualified and non‑qualified members, controlling practice workflow, planning and team development.
• Managing practice performance, including billing, collections and individual manager targets.
• Identifying and recognising business and sales opportunities with new and existing clients.
• Leading the delivery of audit engagements across a varied portfolio of large and high‑value clients.
• Responsible for managing the audit team and reviewing performance and learning & development, acting as a strong mentor.
• Ensuring assignments run to plan, with deadlines and budgets met.
• Continuous involvement in business development and identifying services that add value to your portfolio of clients.
