An excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced tax professional to join a highly regarded independent firm with offices across Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, and London. This is a key role in the Corporate and Business Tax team, managing a quality portfolio of clients including owner-managed businesses, partnerships (including farmers), private companies, and high-net-worth individuals.
You’ll take the lead on compliance and advisory matters, build lasting relationships, identify planning opportunities, and play a hands-on role in developing junior team members. There’s scope here to contribute strategically to the growth of the firm while continuing to grow your own career in a collaborative, people-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities- Managing a portfolio of corporate/business clients, delivering both compliance and proactive advisory support
- Leading and mentoring junior members of the team; conducting appraisals and supporting development
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and supporting delivery alongside directors and partners
- Overseeing WIP, billing, and contributing to department-level management decisions
- Getting involved in business development and marketing activity (articles, events, campaigns)
- Supporting international client queries and wider firm initiatives
- CTA qualified with strong technical knowledge in corporate and business tax
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience managing junior staff in a practice environment
