A growing Milton Keynes firm is seeking an Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior to strengthen its audit team. This opportunity would suit an ACA or ACCA part-qualified or finalist-level accountant who wants broader exposure and increased responsibility. The role offers a strong audit bias, alongside accounts preparation, within a supportive environment that values professional development and steady progression.
The Role
- You will support and contribute to audit assignments across a varied client portfolio, with exposure to sectors including financial services, pensions, charities, education and professional services. Client sizes range from owner-managed businesses through to groups with turnovers up to £250m.
Responsibilities
- Assisting on audits from planning through to completion
- Preparing statutory and consolidated accounts under FRS 102
- Drafting corporation tax computations
- Preparing accounts for audit-exempt entities
- Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues
About You
- ACA or ACCA part-qualified or finalist level
- Two to three years’ experience within UK accountancy practice
- Strong grounding in audit work and file preparation
- Confident communicating with clients and colleagues
Experience with CCH, ProAudit, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or Alphatax would be advantageous. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to strengthen their audit profile while continuing to build accounts experience within a progressive practice environment.
