We're supporting a long-established and well-respected independent firm of accountants in Northampton as they look to appoint an experienced Client Manager with a strong general practice background and audit exposure. If you enjoy a mix of accounts, audit, and client advisory work and you like the idea of managing your own varied portfolio, this is a great opportunity to step into a role with real autonomy and visibility.
The Role:
You’ll take responsibility for a mixed portfolio of SME clients, anything from groups of companies through to sole traders and owner-managed businesses. Day to day, you’ll be involved in:
- Overseeing and reviewing accounts, audits, and tax work across your portfolio
- Managing and developing junior team members
- Leading client meetings and advising on a range of audit, accounting and business matters
- Working closely with the Directors on planning, workflow, and service delivery
- Supporting audits where required (audit experience is a key advantage)
This role is ideal either for a Senior ready to step into a fuller management position, or an existing Manager who wants a fresh, supportive environment.
