Audit & Accounts Manager Northamptonshire £55,000 - £65,000 + benefits

The opportunity:

Are you a qualified ACA / ACCA professional looking to take the next step in your public practice career? Our client is an established and well-regarded firm of Chartered Accountants in Northamptonshire, recruiting an Audit & Accounts Manager to support a growing SME client base. Reporting directly to the Audit Partner, this is a full-time role with approximately 90% audit focus, alongside accounts preparation.

  • Day-to-day management and delivery of audits
  • Audit planning and client meetings
  • Managing and mentoring audit staff
  • Supporting grant sign-offs (including automotive-funded projects)
  • Some travel to client sites (not all audits are remote)

The firm undertakes around 28 audits, covering a diverse client base including UK groups, subsidiaries of overseas companies, manufacturing, food, software, construction, and recycling businesses.

Requirements:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Strong audit experience
  • Basic tax computation knowledge
  • Familiarity with audit software (Mercia desirable but not essential)
