The opportunity:
Are you a qualified ACA / ACCA professional looking to take the next step in your public practice career? Our client is an established and well-regarded firm of Chartered Accountants in Northamptonshire, recruiting an Audit & Accounts Manager to support a growing SME client base. Reporting directly to the Audit Partner, this is a full-time role with approximately 90% audit focus, alongside accounts preparation.
- Day-to-day management and delivery of audits
- Audit planning and client meetings
- Managing and mentoring audit staff
- Supporting grant sign-offs (including automotive-funded projects)
- Some travel to client sites (not all audits are remote)
The firm undertakes around 28 audits, covering a diverse client base including UK groups, subsidiaries of overseas companies, manufacturing, food, software, construction, and recycling businesses.
- Long-term progression toward Partner level
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Strong audit experience
- Basic tax computation knowledge
- Familiarity with audit software (Mercia desirable but not essential)
