Location: Contractual base at Salvus House, Durham with hybrid working opportunities. An expectation to attend the Durham office at least once a week.

Salary: ÂŁ32,229 plus a discretionary bonus potential of up to 8% of annual salary.

Job Level: C – Reporting to the Data Integrity Team Leader.

The Role

The Data Integrity team sits at the heart of Wave, ensuring that the data we rely on every day is accurate, trusted and fit for purpose. You will investigate and resolve data quality issues, design scalable fixes, and work closely with operational teams, analysts and engineers to prevent future problems.

Typical Day

  • Review ongoing data issues, remediation work and data quality reports.
  • Analyse data integrity issues to identify root causes and prioritise what needs fixing.
  • Carry out targeted data cleansing and corrections, from individual records to large‑scale bulk fixes.
  • Use SQL, Excel and reporting tools to investigate issues and validate data accuracy.
  • Document remediation activity, data standards and processes to ensure fixes are repeatable and sustainable.
  • Test data fixes and improvements, validating outcomes with business users.
  • Review data capture processes and recommend improvements to prevent future issues.

Wrap up the day knowing your work has improved the quality, reliability and trustworthiness of Wave’s data.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with data, with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency and reliability.
  • Ability to analyse data issues, identify root causes and design effective sustainable fixes.
  • Confidence gathering and translating data quality requirements from non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of how data flows across systems and how data quality impacts operational and customer outcomes.
  • A structured, organised approach with the ability to manage priorities and work independently.
  • Clear communication skills and the confidence to collaborate across teams and challenge constructively when needed.
  • A curious, problem‑solving mindset with an eye for patterns, trends and improvement opportunities.
  • A proactive “can do” attitude and motivation to help build and strengthen Wave’s data culture.
  • Demonstrable experience of SQL.
