Senior Software Engineer – Functional Programming Focus – Up to £140,000 + Equity + Bonus

The office is London based with an expectation of 1-2 days in, this company is building an awesome consumer facing products with real world impact, including automation tools to dynamic web applications.

You won’t just be writing code, you’ll be contributing to meaningful solutions that improve everyday lives, working in a tech-first, mission-driven environment that values your input across both engineering and product decisions.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Senior Engineer with a background in functional programming to help build and scale impactful digital products. You’ll be leveraging Elixir (don’t worry if you haven’t used it before), a background in either Scala, Go, Haskell or Clojure is fine.

Your role will involve driving technical decisions and being a hands-on contributor across a wide variety of systems. You’ll help shape the direction of the platform, evaluate new tools, and always be encouraged to push boundaries.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in functional programming (Elixir, Scala, Go, Haskell, Clojure etc.)
• Strong backend engineering skills and a track record of building modern, reliable web applications.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, ideally AWS.
• Experience with containerisation technologies (e.g Docker).
• Solid testing discipline and clean code standards.
