A high-growth, B2C subscription business in the UK mobile space is hiring a Mobile App Product Manager to own and elevate a core customer app used by over 1 million people every month. The business has grown from c.500k to 3.2m customers in a few years and is now moving from growth to scale-up, with a big focus on customer experience, engagement and monetisation.
The opportunity
- You’ll take end-to-end ownership of the mobile app – the primary in-life experience for customers with a clear mandate to:
- Move the app beyond “utility only” (checking plans, data, etc.) into a more engaging, value-adding product
- Improve onboarding so it feels genuinely “super sleek” and low-friction
- Turn an underperforming rewards proposition into something customers actually care about and that reduces churn
- Design and run smarter push notification strategies that drive meaningful customer actions
- Identify and deliver new features and experiences that increase engagement and customer lifetime value
You’ll be supported by:
- A dedicated app squad: 2 app developers + QA
- Access to UX support (2 designers, with one primarily aligned to app)
- Analytics and CRO support, plus strong data infrastructure
What you’ll be doing
- Own the app product roadmap: ~60% self-driven initiatives, ~40% from existing backlog
- Define, build and ship new app features and improvements end-to-end
- Use data (including experimentation) to understand behaviour, prioritise, and measure impact
- Benchmark against best-in-class mobile apps and bring the most relevant ideas into the product
- Partner with stakeholders across product, commercial, marketing, customer operations and tech to deliver at pace
- Demonstrate tangible impact within the first 3–4 months (engagement, CLTV, feature adoption, etc.)
What we’re looking for
- Strong background as a Product Manager focused on B2C mobile apps
- Track record of driving app engagement and measurable commercial outcomes
- Very comfortable with data: excellent Excel, solid understanding of SQL, and used to self-serving analysis
- Experience in regulated and/or high-engagement domains (e.g. fintech, telco, other consumer subscription products) is beneficial
- Commercial, experimentation and CLTV-minded – you care about impact, not just shipping features
- Able to work 2 days/week in the London office (Tue & Wed, 10–5 core hours)
