A Series A B2B fintech working at the intersection of asset finance, IoT/telematics and data-driven software is hiring a Junior Product Manager as the second product hire in the business. Their platform connects operational data from physical assets with financial data for banks, lenders and asset operators. The goal: help customers understand utilisation, performance, risk and profitability, and power new “pay-as-you-use” financing models.
You’ll work directly with the Product Director and an experienced PM, taking ownership of well-defined product workstreams and getting exposure to customers from early on.
What you’ll do:
- Turn high-level customer and commercial requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria and specs
- Own parts of the product backlog, supporting and running agile ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, reviews, retros)
- Work with customers on discovery, feedback and product walkthroughs
- Use AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate prototyping, analysis and light technical work
- Support both customer-driven feature delivery and core platform improvements
What we’re looking for:
- 1–3 years in a Product Manager / Associate PM / similar role (or equivalent experience in a strongly product-adjacent role)
- Writing user stories and acceptance criteria
- Managing/prioritising a backlog
- Operating in agile/scrum environments
- Evidence that you actively use AI tools in your workflow (code, scripts, prototypes, analysis, etc.)
- Comfortable with both qual and quant product work – talking to users/customers and using data/analytics
Nice to have:
- Exposure to asset finance / lending (e.g. working with financial products, credit, IRR, structured finance) and/or
- Experience in IoT / telematics / connected fleets / energy assets
- B2B SaaS background in complex domains
Why this role?
- High impact: you’re joining as product hire #2, with a clear path to grow your scope as the company scales towards Series B
- Learning curve: direct mentorship from senior product leadership and real exposure to banks, lenders and operators
- Domain: work on meaningful problems in the transition to cleaner, smarter infrastructure and fleets
If you’re an early-career PM who’s strong on fundamentals, excited about using AI in your day-to-day work and curious about fintech + connected assets, we’d love to hear from you.
