We’re supporting a leading global consultancy in hiring a Presales Lead to play a key role in securing and delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes across Central Government. This is a high-impact role where you’ll lead complex bids, work with senior stakeholders, and design innovative technology solutions that deliver real public value.
The Role: As a Presales Lead (Central Government), you will own and lead end-to-end presales and solutioning activities across major public sector opportunities. You’ll act as the bridge between clients, sales, delivery teams, and partners, translating complex requirements into clear, compliant, and commercially viable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead presales and solutioning across UK Central Government opportunities
- Own and shape bid propositions aligned to client requirements and evaluation criteria
- Design scalable, secure, and outcome-focused technology solutions
- Support complex bids and manage multiple workstreams under tight timelines
- Contribute to high-quality bid responses, including solution design and delivery approach
- Ensure compliance with public sector procurement, security, and data regulations
- Engage with senior stakeholders across technical, operational, and commercial functions
- Support workshops, client presentations, and solution walkthroughs
- Collaborate with commercial teams on pricing models and cost assumptions
- Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and contractual considerations
- Provide leadership and oversight to presales and bid teams
- Essential: Proven experience leading presales activities within UK Central Government or public sector
- Strong understanding of public sector procurement, frameworks (e.g. G-Cloud), and tendering processes
- Experience designing and presenting complex technology and service solutions
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Commercial awareness, including pricing, delivery risk, and contracts
- Desirable: Experience across areas such as cloud, AI, digital transformation, data, cyber security, or enterprise applications
- Knowledge of ISO standards, GDPR, and accessibility requirements
- Experience working with partners or subcontractors in bid environments
- Relevant certifications or degree in a related field
