We’re partnering with a major UK organisation operating at national scale to find a skilled Azure PaaS Technical Architect to help modernise critical digital services across scheduling, delivery and customer engagement platforms. This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver cloud‑native, enterprise‑grade solutions using Microsoft Azure PaaS technologies, working on complex systems that support millions of users across the UK.
Key responsibilities:
- Designing end‑to‑end Azure PaaS architectures for application migration and modernisation.
- Assessing legacy/on‑premise environments and defining cloud migration strategies.
- Translating business and technical requirements into robust solution designs.
- Implementing Azure services including App Services, Functions, API Management, Azure SQL, Service Bus and related components.
- Working closely with development and DevOps teams to enable CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
- Ensuring best practices across security, scalability, performance and cost optimisation.
- Providing technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to delivery teams.
About You:
- Proven experience delivering Azure cloud migration and modernisation projects.
- Strong background in .NET Core, Angular and SQL.
- Deep understanding of Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services.
- Hands‑on experience with Azure App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, API Management and Azure SQL.
- Experience designing microservices and API‑led architectures.
- Solid knowledge of Azure networking, identity, monitoring and security.
- Experience using Azure Migrate and related tooling.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience (ARM, Bicep or similar).
- Azure certifications (e.g. AZ‑305, AZ‑104).
- Experience with Azure DevOps and automated deployment pipelines.
- Strong understanding of Azure security best practices, including IAM and RBAC.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
