About the Role
As a Senior Supply Chain Consultant, you will support the design and delivery of supply chain improvement and transformation initiatives for retail clients across fashion, grocery, general merchandise and specialty retail. Working hands-on with client teams, you will diagnose performance issues, analyse data, design improvements and support implementation across demand forecasting, inventory optimisation, replenishment, ecommerce fulfilment and logistics and distribution efficiency. You will own defined workstreams end-to-end — from diagnostic through to recommendation and plan — collaborating with supply chain, merchandising and operations teams to land outcomes in operational reality. You will build rigorous benefits cases, define KPIs and operating rhythms that sustain performance improvement, support implementation planning and produce boardroom-ready outputs that inform real client decisions. You will also contribute to building reusable practice assets and support improvements to retail planning and supply chain tools.
Key Skills
- Proven experience in retail supply chain, planning, logistics or operations and/or management consulting in retail or consumer contexts
- Hands-on exposure to at least one supply chain domain: forecasting, inventory, replenishment, logistics or fulfilment
- Evidence of supporting improvement and transformation initiatives and translating analysis into delivered change
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and work systematically
- Clear, concise communicator with operational and commercial stakeholders, able to make complex things simple
- Strong Excel and data analysis capability, comfortable working with retail data including sales, stock, forecast and logistics
- Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset — focused on what changes in operational reality, not just slide quality
Nice to Have
- Experience contributing to tool enablement and analytics use cases that improve decision-making in planning or operations
- Understanding of omnichannel fulfilment models such as click and collect, ship from store and returns
- Interest in next-generation decisioning including AI-augmented recommendations and governed automation as retail supply chains evolve
