Wave Recruitment is working with a pioneering robotics company developing the next generation of bi-manual mobile manipulators to tackle real-world warehouse tasks.

Simulation is central to their approach — enabling rapid iteration, large-scale data generation, and safe experimentation before robots ever roll onto the floor. As a Senior Simulation Engineer, you’ll take ownership of the high-fidelity virtual worlds and pipelines that make this possible.

Founder | Engineering Recruiter | Advocate for high-impact, low-noise hiring

What you’ll be working on

  • Building and refining physics-accurate warehouse simulators for dual-arm mobile manipulation.
  • Scaling data generation for reinforcement and imitation learning, spinning up GPU-accelerated clusters with platforms like Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, and ManiSkill.
  • Developing real-time sim-to-real integration with ROS 2, ensuring digital twins mirror physical robot states.
  • Tuning physics, rendering, and sensor pipelines so large batches run 10–100× faster than real time.
  • Embedding simulation in CI/CD pipelines for regression testing at scale.
  • Partnering with perception, planning, and controls teams to accelerate deployment cycles.

What they’re looking for

  • MSc/PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, or Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 5+ years experience building robotics simulations or digital-twin systems, including large-scale RL/IL data collection.
  • Deep, hands-on experience with multiple simulation platforms (MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, CoppeliaSim/V-REP, ManiSkill).
  • Expert-level Python and modern C++ on Linux with strong engineering practices (testing, profiling, CI).
  • Proven track record of ROS 2 integration.
  • Solid grounding in kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, and perception to debug sim-to-real gaps.
  • Strong communicator and analytical thinker, comfortable in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

What’s on offer

  • Competitive salary, equity, and performance bonus.
  • Annual conference budget & dedicated research time.
  • Flexible hours with a hybrid/remote-friendly culture.
  • State-of-the-art lab facilities and a collaborative environment.
