We’re looking for a Principal Homologation & Compliance Engineer to lead the analysis and integration of international automotive regulations into vehicle development strategies. In this role, you won’t just interpret regulations — you’ll steer design direction, anticipate market shifts, and play a key role in bringing future vehicles to UK and European markets.

You’ll work with the homologation and compliance team, cross-functional engineering teams, R&D leaders, and international regulatory bodies — ensuring products meet present and future compliance requirements.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead technical assessments of UK automotive regulatory frameworks
  • Drive strategy for vehicle homologation and type approval, including managing compliance timelines and certification requirements
  • Act as a subject matter expert for regulation-related matters in design reviews, engineering workshops, and program planning
  • Track and analyze evolving legislation in the EU and UK
  • Provide early-stage input to product development teams to ensure regulatory feasibility and minimize redesign risk
  • Build and maintain a regulatory intelligence database to support long-term R&D and market-entry strategies

What You Will Need

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, or a related technical field
  • 3+ years’ experience in automotive R&D, compliance engineering, or regulatory strategy
  • Strong working knowledge of international at least one vehicle regulations (emissions, safety, ADAS, cybersecurity)
  • Hands-on experience with homologation, type approval, and vehicle certification processes
  • Ability to interpret, simplify, and communicate complex regulatory requirements
  • Strong collaboration skills — working with both technical teams and senior stakeholders

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, law, and strategy — your insight will directly influence product launch readiness and regulatory risk across global markets. If you're someone who thrives on making strategic engineering decisions and wants to stay ahead of the curve, apply for this position!
