A leading global semiconductor manufacturer is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead the development and release of next-generation power semiconductor portfolios, including advanced GaN & SiC wide-bandgap technologies. This role offers full technical ownership of product engineering, project management of operations, and product portfolio responsibility from characterization and yield improvement to process control and production release.
- Project and product management of compound semiconductor portfolio
- Leading the product engineering team and collaborating with technology and product development teams to deliver manufacturing-ready devices
- Characterizing new product performance ahead of production release
- Developing and maintaining engineering databases for device characterization and production tracking
- Establishing and monitoring Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems for production products
- Driving yield enhancement and supporting failure analysis activities
- Supporting new product introduction (NPI) and transfer from development to volume production
- Working with reliability and quality teams to analyse RMA customer returns and implement corrective actions
Very strong project & product management skills are required, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in power semiconductor engineering, ideally across both silicon and wide-bandgap (SiC/GaN) devices. An in-depth understanding of the semiconductor product lifecycle, including device characterization, qualification, production release, and sustenance is essential.
- Analytical skills in evaluating and characterizing power semiconductor devices
- Background in yield analysis and circuit debug
- Six Sigma quality practices is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to approach problems logically and develop creative, data-driven solutions
- Strong communication skills, with proven success in leading cross-functional and international project teams
