Senior Electronic Engineer in Abingdon

Abingdon Full-Time On-site
W

The company's mission

Develop and scale next-generation hardware for advanced compute.

Role Overview

This is a hands-on electronics role with a strong analogue lean. The work covers the precision and mixed-signal circuitry on the product's boards, from first design through bench testing and into manufacture. It is a collaborative setup, with optical, chip and systems engineers working side by side, so there is plenty of scope to shape requirements as well as design to them.

What skills you'll need

  • A degree in electronic engineering or similar, and extensive experience designing board-level analogue and mixed-signal circuits for products that reached production.
  • Strong analogue fundamentals, including amplifier design, feedback and stability, noise analysis and filtering.
  • Hands-on experience designing TIAs or other low-noise, high-bandwidth front ends.
  • Experience interfacing high-performance ADCs and DACs.
  • Solid knowledge of low-noise power supply design, grounding and mixed-signal partitioning.
  • SPICE simulation and schematic capture in OrCAD/Allegro or Altium.
  • Bench characterisation and low-noise measurement experience.
  • Writing layout constraints and reviewing layouts for sensitive analogue circuits.
  • Experience with photonic or optoelectronic systems, such as laser drivers or optical receivers, would be a bonus.

What's on offer

Join an exceptional team of engineers working on generational problems. The company is well backed, with an impressive product already developed. You'll develop and expand your knowledge, and have ownership over the areas you've already mastered. There is a bonus, equity and a strong benefits package on offer too.
