The Vacancy:

  • Up to 37 hours - Term Time Only

We are seeking a committed and compassionate Pastoral Support Manager to join Wave and play a vital role in supporting young people and their families. Using a whole‑family approach, you will work closely with parents, schools and external agencies to strengthen resilience, foster positive values and promote children's cognitive, social and emotional development.

This hands‑on role is central to safeguarding and requires excellent relationship‑building skills, reflective practice and the ability to manage a varied caseload. Flexibility to travel and work occasional unsociable hours is essential as you provide tailored guidance, challenge and support.

The successful applicant will be someone who embodies our Trust values, has diverse experience, as well as a passion for working with young people with additional needs.

Wave is dedicated to the safeguarding of children and Safer Recruitment Procedures will be followed. The position requires a satisfactory enhanced DBS check and we may carry out an online check.

About The Academy:

Penwith Academy is a 40 place mixed sex academy for KS1 – KS4 pupils, serving the Penwith area including some of the most economically disadvantaged areas in Europe.
