This isn't a bid writing role; it's about designing what actually gets built. We're looking for a senior Solution Architect to join a pre sales/RFP team at a critical moment: designing the technical blueprint for a major platform modernisation programme. Your work won't stop at the RFP submission deliverables; it extends into months 2 and 3, laying the architectural foundations for what follows if (when) the programme is won.
The challenge: You'll be designing a modern, microservices based platform on Azure to replace a deeply embedded, decades old on-prem environment. The hard part isn't the cloud stack; it's translating complex, legacy laden business processes into a composable, hexagonal architecture without disrupting live operations.
What we're looking for:
- Strong Azure Integration Services experience
- Proven microservices architecture design
- Legacy modernisation background monolithic or proprietary to distributed migrations
- Comfortable working at pace in a pre sales/RFP environment
- Music, media or entertainment sector experience is a plus but strong architecture credentials will always take priority
The detail:
- Start: Flexible
- Duration: 3-month initial | scope to extend to 3 years
- Rate: Up to £500/day
- Process: 2 stage interview
