At Wave Talent, we spoke with you to understand the key information you'd like to know about a job position before you enter the process. Hopefully, you'll find this listed below and if the job role sounds like it could be up your street; we'd love to arrange a chat to give you more info.
We've partnered with a fast-growing fintech (retail investors), and we're hiring their first dedicated BDR to build the outbound engine from scratch. This is a genuine zero-to-one seat: you won't be stepping into an existing SDR machine, you'll be designing the playbook, the systems, and the sequences that generate qualified pipeline. This isn't an outbound cold calling sales role - it's someone who can build and use the GTM engine that will drive future growth.
This role is on-site 4 days a week (5 days once a month) and is not currently open to hybrid or remote working.
Here everything you need to know:
- Free premium membership to the company's investor collective (RRP £3,000pa)
- Gym membership
- Cycle-to-work scheme
- Direct access to the founders and senior leadership with no bureaucracy
Industry/Type of business: Capital markets fintech, selling AI-driven B2B enterprise software.
On-site 4 days a week in their Central London office.
3 stages:
- In-person task-based session (up to 90 minutes)
- Final culture conversation with a broader team meet
Reporting to: Head of the Enterprise Division.
Company size: A lean, high-ownership team in a high-growth phase, scaling revenues at over 100% year-on-year with a UK Series A on the horizon.
Building and running the entire outbound motion end to end. Roughly 60% of your time is building the machine (AI-powered lead-generation workflows, enrichment waterfalls, signal-based targeting, and outbound infrastructure) and 40% is running it (researching prospects, writing sharp outreach across email and LinkedIn, booking qualified discovery calls, and owning CRM hygiene). The signals you bring back from the market will directly shape how the business sells, positions, and prices.
We'd love to chat with you about this position if:
- You've got at least one year of experience in a BDR or SDR role within B2B SaaS, fintech, or financial services, and understand sales funnels, CRM hygiene, and outbound sequencing.
- You're genuinely AI-native. You use AI tools daily to build systems and automate workflows at scale, not just to write the occasional email.
- You've got hands-on experience with outbound tooling and have built sequences yourself, rather than only executing lists handed to you.
- You're a sharp written communicator who can write a cold email that actually gets a reply from a senior stakeholder at a listed company. No templates, no clichés.
- You bring high agency and a builder mindset. The idea of designing a system from zero excites you more than inheriting a ready-made playbook.
- You're able and willing to work on-site 4 days per week in Central London, and have full right-to-work in the UK.
