About the Role
You’ll operate at ExCo level, reporting directly to the CEO, with accountability across the full technology function.
Responsibilities
- Establish the CIO seat and set technology strategy at board level for the first time
- Lead platform consolidation across a complex, multi-system environment
- Own supplier relationships, commercial decisions, and build vs buy calls
- Maintain security posture and resilience across critical systems
- Work alongside strong VP-level leads in engineering, data, and cyber
Qualifications
- CIO, CTO, or VP Engineering background in a high-growth digital or e-commerce business
Required Skills
- Proven experience establishing a technology leadership function, not just inheriting one
- Board-level credibility and ExCo presence from day one
- Strong cloud infrastructure knowledge — AWS or GCP preferred
- Comfortable holding both technical and commercial conversations at senior level
Preferred Skills
- Background in retail, consumer, FMCG, or logistics-adjacent technology
- Prior interim experience running alongside a permanent executive search
