At Wave Talent, we aim to provide clear job descriptions to help you identify the key information about a position. We are partnering with a fast-growing fintech focused on retail investors, hiring their first dedicated Business Development Representative (BDR) to build the outbound engine from scratch.
This is a genuine zero-to-one seat: you will design the playbook, systems, and sequences that generate qualified pipeline. This role is not an outbound cold calling sales position; it requires someone who can build and use the go-to-market (GTM) engine that will drive future growth.
This role is on-site 4 days a week (5 days once a month) and is not currently open to hybrid or remote working.
Here’s everything you need to know:
- Free premium membership to the company's investor collective (RRP £3,000pa)
- Gym membership
- Cycle-to-work scheme
- Direct access to the founders and senior leadership with no bureaucracy
Industry/Type of business: Capital markets fintech, selling AI-driven B2B enterprise software.
On-site 4 days a week in their Central London office.
3 stages of the interview process:
- In-person task-based session (up to 90 minutes)
- Final culture conversation with a broader team meet
Reporting to: Head of the Enterprise Division.
Company size: A lean, high-ownership team in a high-growth phase, scaling revenues at over 100% year-on-year with a UK Series A on the horizon.
Your responsibilities will include building and running the entire outbound motion end to end. Roughly 60% of your time will be spent building the machine (AI-powered lead-generation workflows, enrichment waterfalls, signal-based targeting, and outbound infrastructure) and 40% running it (researching prospects, writing sharp outreach across email and LinkedIn, booking qualified discovery calls, and owning CRM hygiene).
The signals you bring back from the market will directly shape how the business sells, positions, and prices.
We would love to chat with you about this position if:
- You have at least one year of experience in a BDR or SDR role within B2B SaaS, fintech, or financial services, and understand sales funnels, CRM hygiene, and outbound sequencing.
- You are genuinely AI-native, using AI tools daily to build systems and automate workflows at scale.
- You have hands-on experience with outbound tooling and have built sequences yourself.
- You are a sharp written communicator who can write a cold email that gets a reply from a senior stakeholder at a listed company.
- You bring high agency and a builder mindset, excited by the idea of designing a system from zero.
- You are able and willing to work on-site 4 days per week in Central London and have full right-to-work in the UK.
