Series A, YC-backed fintech rebuilding the operating system for UK financial advice. Double-digit million ARR in under 18 months.
Most AI, compliance and wealth companies look like AI, compliance and wealth companies. They're building something different. They don't want to build a normal company in a normal office with normal ambition.
They're the AI-powered operating system for financial advice. They automate the back office so advisers can spend more time being human. Only 8% of the UK gets financial advice, but around 50% want it. The mission is to reinvent financial infrastructure so wealth and advice services can scale to one billion people. Financial peace of mind should be a right, not a privilege.
YC-backed, $15M Series A, cashflow positive, used by 20%+ of UK advice firms, and already at double-digit million ARR in under 18 months. The crazy part: they've done this with a tiny engineering team. Six engineers today, eight after these hires, building together every day with no plans to scale much beyond that.
Five days a week, in person, plus rare invite-only events hosted at notable academics' homes. Quarterly salary and equity reviews. The CEO has taken people from £80k to £180k inside a year where the slope has justified it.
Go, TypeScript or Python. Direct line to a founder-led commercial engine reinventing financial infrastructure. Both roles share the foundation. Stack is Go, TypeScript and Python with LLMs and RAG integrated throughout.
The team is intentionally moving away from rigid front-end, back-end, and QA silos. Manual QA is being deliberately replaced with automated testing. Live projects include real-time meeting capture and transcription pipelines, letter of authority orchestration, pension transfer review automation, and an FCA Consumer Duty compliance policy engine.
- Member of Technical Staff (platform-leaning): You care about scalability, reliability, and the engine room. You will own systems end-to-end and own the foundations the rest of the product relies on. Stronger back-end or platform depth, with full-stack breadth.
- Product Engineer (speed-leaning): You care about velocity and shipping. Senior product engineer or staff-level engineer with strong full-stack capability. Hands-on LLM or AI integration experience in user-facing features.
MTS: stronger back-end or platform foundations, systems thinking. Product Engineer: stronger product instincts, track record of owning features end-to-end.
Bonus points: AWS familiarity. If reinventing financial infrastructure sounds like your kind of thing, message me.
