8 Product Manager roles | UK Remote | Energy SaaS. We are working exclusively with a company most people have never heard of β but if you have ever paid an energy bill in the UK, you have almost certainly been touched by what they build. Our client is a cloud-native SaaS platform that powers how energy retailers actually operate. Billing. Payments. Contracts. Credit risk. Identity. Data. Quoting. The infrastructure that sits underneath the brands you know. They are scaling internationally, embedding AI across the platform right now rather than talking about it for the future, and they have just greenlit a full build-out of their product function. Eight roles. All net new. No inherited backlog, no undoing someone else's work. Just product ownership from the ground up in one of the most technically complex and commercially critical sectors in the UK economy.
We are looking for PMs across eight specialist areas. If your background maps to any of these, I want to hear from you.
- Credit Risk PM β credit decisioning, collections, propensity-to-pay, debt scoring, FCA and Ofgem compliance. If you have owned credit risk or financial decisioning products end to end, this one is for you.
- Payments and Refunds PM β full payment processing lifecycle across Direct Debit, Faster Payments, Open Banking, card schemes and refunds. Multi-market rails experience a strong plus.
- Identity and Access Management PM β RBAC, SSO, OAuth, audit logging, and increasingly the governance of AI agents and non-human identity. Security and compliance product background strongly relevant.
- Contracting PM β contract lifecycle management from accepted quote to renewal, termination and compliance. B2B SaaS, insurance, telecoms or regulated contracting backgrounds all transfer well.
- API and AI Framework PM β API-as-a-product governance across internal and external consumers, plus the agentic AI infrastructure underpinning intelligent case management. LLMOps and platform thinking required.
- Core Data Platform PM β governed data mart as a product. Service catalogues, SLAs, consumer onboarding, Databricks or equivalent. Regulated data-critical environment experience a strong fit.
- Senior PM, Billing β end-to-end billing accuracy, financial transaction ownership, ERP familiarity, and navigating the complexity of smart metering, half-hourly settlement and flexible tariffs.
- Senior PM, Energy Products and Quoting β CPQ platform ownership, pricing rules, product catalogue, dynamic tariffs and AI-enabled quoting. Strong commercial mindset and senior strategy ownership essential.
Who tends to thrive here:
- You have genuine end-to-end product ownership. You have set strategy, shaped roadmaps, and been accountable for outcomes. You can point to platforms you have owned and explain the decisions you made, not just the work you shipped.
- You are comfortable at the technical layer. You do not need to write code but you need to hold your own with engineering teams. The domains above are not surface-level β depth matters.
- You have worked in regulated or complex commercial environments. Fintech, B2B SaaS, utilities, insurance, telecoms or financial services. You understand what compliance means and what the cost of getting it wrong looks like.
- You have at least 3 to 4 years of hands-on PM experience for the PM roles, or 6 or more years for the senior positions. Consumer-only backgrounds, primarily delivery or BA career histories, and very short tenures without clear rationale are less likely to be a fit.
- You want genuine ownership. These PMs have a real seat at the table and are expected to use it.
What is on offer:
- Fully remote with occasional travel to UK offices.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays with the option to buy or sell 5 extra days.
- Vitality Health Insurance including private healthcare, virtual GP and mental health support.
- 50% off gym memberships.
- 5% matched pension.
- 2 volunteering days per year.
- Bonus scheme currently being implemented.
If any of these sound like a fit, or you know someone they might suit, drop me a message. Happy to share full role details in confidence.
