Wave Dynamics Acoustic Consultants are seeking a Senior or Principal Acoustic Consultant with a strong background in building acoustics to join our growing team. This role is UK-based, supporting projects across both the UK and Ireland. This is an opportunity for an experienced consultant to take on a technical leadership role, contributing to the delivery of high-quality building acoustics work while supporting business growth and shaping the future direction of the company.

We deliver high-profile projects across the built environment, including:

  • Healthcare, education and commercial schemes
  • Industrial and specialist buildings

Our work is grounded in technical excellence, pragmatic design advice, and compliance with UK & Irish standards, with a strong focus on building acoustics design, testing, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technically complex building acoustics projects
  • Lead and manage building acoustics projects from concept through completion
  • Sound insulation (Part E / TGD-E compliance)
  • Building services noise and vibration
  • Sound insulation testing and reporting
  • Provide clear, practical advice to architects, developers, and contractors
  • Maintain high-quality, report-ready technical outputs

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in building acoustics consultancy with a proven project track record
  • INSUL, SoundPlan (or equivalent), and room acoustics software
  • Ability to manage projects and client relationships independently
  • Full driver’s licence
  • Experience across both UK and Irish regulatory environments
  • Postgraduate qualification
