Scope of Work:
As a Utility Person II, you will operate a fork lift to move parts, loading and unloading of equipment. Shipping/receiving of parts from manufacturers, customers and various other sources. Cleaning and prep of equipment for shipment and storage. Other duties as assigned.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Keep shop clean and organized.
- General maintenance on equipment and buildings.
- Pick-up and delivery as required.
- Maintain steam cleaner/parts cleaner equipment.
- Ensure that material/components removed from vat are properly cleaned and organized.
- Steam cleaning of parts, engines, and other equipment.
- Assist Technicians as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in a Utility Person position.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver license with a clean driving record.
Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Must have the ability to effectively operate forklifts.
- Must have the ability to effectively operate a steam cleaner/parts cleaner.
- Must have the ability to effectively operate general hand tools.
- Must have the ability to effectively operate overhead cranes.
- Must have good organizational skills.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Typical hours of work Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some occasional extended hours may be required. Sitting; occasional bending or kneeling; lift and carry a maximum of 50 lbs., reach overhead for lightweight items. Shop and outside work.
